My Ongoing Stories

Channel Fear
You're listening to Radio Free Phobos. Don't touch that dial.
A blog run by "the Free Radical," a man who doesn't leave his house that much but has operatives that gather information about the Fears. This is more of an informational blog and doesn't have much of a plot.

The Supernatural Anaesthetist
"Personal happiness is what we strive to achieve."
This is part of the Topography Genera series of blogs. "Doctor Cloud" is the resident medical expert and researcher at the Topography Genera Center East, a facility that captures and studies "Fossils" or Fears.
(Related blogs: The Machine Gospels, Hymn from Proserpine.)

one thousand and one nightmares
on the black road of life think not to find either a friend or lover to your mind; if you must love, oh then, love solitude, for solitude alone is true and kind.
"Scheherazade" (Cheryl) likes telling stories. She's also running from her brother, Paul, who has been infected with what she refers to as "the golem machine." (Currently on hiatus.)

Once There Was
Fables about various kingdoms ruled by the Fears.

The Book of Cant
A dictionary for the haunted and the haunters.
A secret language of runners and servants throughout history.

An Old Man's Winter Night
Through the thin frost, almost in separate stars.
My "bad future" blog. It's been many years since Tav went on the run and now he's an old man and the world is covered in winter.

Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed
Overworked, Underpaid, and Keeping Track of Eldritch Abominations.
Lady Grinning Soul is an agent with the SMSC, a branch of the FBI charged with keeping track of the Fears and their servants. All she wants to do, though, is keep everything organized - but she can't avoid being sent out on assignments.

Another collaborative blog. I write for "Sal Paradise," the proprietor of the Raw Youth Hostel, a place that runners can stay and rest.

Phantasmagorical
A Tale of a Young Girl's Adventures in a Strange Land Filled with Fantastical Creatures and Fearful Things
A story in the vein of Alice in Wonderland. A fantasy world filled with the Fears where a girl named Daphne Blackwell finds herself trapped. Can she get back to Home Again?

Paranoia: A Manifesto
Though this be madness, yet there is method in 't
A man who works at a publishing house finds a manuscript in a brown paper bag and decides to publish it online. Things soon take a turn for the surreal, however, when he receives a comment from "alliterator." (A semi-sequel to The Fear Mythos.)

Secret Mysteries
Follow the straight line.
Erik Lönrott, a great detective, wakes up on a train with little memory of how he came to be there. There is a note, however: There has been a murder upon this train. You must find the murderer before the train stops. Document everything. Follow the straight line. (Related to The Supernatural Anaesthetist.)

My On-Hiatus Stories

These are ones I currently have writer's block on, though I may return to them.

An experimental tumblr where I posted pictures and short tiny stories. Now used as sort of a generic personal tumblr.

Now we can see through a glass, darkly.
An experimental blog about the Mother of Snakes. "My reflection has been telling me stories."

Hugs from the Archangel
A comedy blog run by reader suggestions. Sort of just...dried up.

The Secret History of the World
History isn't written by the victors, but by the survivors. I plan to be one.
"A. Nobody" is a Pilgrim, someone who has become unstuck in time. She lives with a group of other Pilgrims and tries to avoid the attention of the "Unchanging."

The Revenger's Last Act
We cross our bridges when we come to them, and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
A runner finds himself in a theatre with a troupe of actors called the Tragedians. The Tragedians are putting on a play -- a play about life, love, death, revenge, and the Slender Man. (Only one post so far.)

Credulous Animals
"Man is a credulous animal, and must believe something; in the absence of good ground for belief, he will be satisfied with bad ones." - Bertrand Russell
A graduate student seeks to write his thesis on why people believe in the Fears. (Only one post so far.)
